7.Contract description:The technical assistance will have general and specific responsibilities to ensure the effective organisation of the overall SWAIMS project, in liaison with the project stakeholders. A project management unit will be established in Abuja for the transversal coordination and monitoring of SWAIMS.Moreover, the TA will be in charge of achieving the following results:- strengthened integrated maritime governance, policies, laws and systems to support maritime security,- illicit financial circuits generated by maritime crime are assessed,- regional operational training is strengthened,- coordination with the private sector and participation of civil society are improved,- an equipment facility for local needs is established.

8.Indicative budget:6 380 000 EUR.

11.Legal basis:Annex IV to the Partnership Agreement between the members of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States of the one part, and the European Community and its Member States, of the other part, signed in Cotonou on 23.6.2000 as amended in Luxembourg on 25.6.2005 and in Ouagadougou on 22.6.2010. Reference is made to Annex IV as revised by Decision No 1/2014 of the ACP–EU Council of Ministers of 20.6.2014.
